The pandemic certainly accelerated the trend, but the huge number of professionals who were forced to work from home, many of them from usa lists advertising agencies or generic consultancies, made them seek to update themselves and proclaim themselves digital marketing experts. But it is not that simple.
On the other hand, in today’s companies we hear more “I know what I need, just do it” than “help me find a solution”. How wrong. In the vast majority of cases, when we hear this and conduct a more in-depth digital analysis, the desired solutions are far from the most appropriate ones.
The consultative approach in digital marketing requires professionals with multiple skills and an understanding of several different areas that make up the digital universe. Unfortunately, this takes years and constant study to understand the “Big Picture”. As we like to say, nothing in digital marketing is “just doing one thing”. It’s a long sequence of little things to make results appear.
